From AEG to Norwegian Horse Festival

An era is over – a new begins. I have led the Arctic Equestrian Games at Brunstad for 13 years. That has been a lot of fun and I have endless amounts of memories from the 143 with AEG competitions there altogether.

EVENT OF INTERNATIONAL PROPORTIONS
Earlier this year we decided, with great help from Bjørn Rune Gjelsten, to renew and revitalize the whole concept. An international event with top horse riding together with an exhibition. The sport is in immense development and it was imminent that we needed a lot more space and a better location.

THE WHOLE SPORT UNDER ONE ROOF
Our goal is to create an event for all Norwegian horse enthusiasts. Multiple genres of competition, show, entertainment and a giant exhibition. The choice fell on Norway Trade Fairs in Lillestrøm, which in addition to being incredibly central and accessible also could provide the best facilities: 36,000 square meters under one roof!

Thanks to Kristin Andresen and FERD who have been our sponsors since 2006 there will be dressage at international level and two fantastic dressage clinics!

THE LARGEST INDOOR RIG EVER
Within these facilities we now launch Norwegian Horse Festival 2019. The rig will be the largest indoor rig ever in Norway, with two indoor competition arenas and three warm-up arenas. The largest arena will be the largest competition arena ever built indoors here with its 33 x 86 meters. There will also be 400 indoor stalls.

The largest difference however will be the exhibition area. With its 10,000 square meters it can host over 100 exhibitors. We have also worked hard on the event program and we are incredibly proud to present a program that has something interesting for everyone.

PAY FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE ONLY
To reach out to as many as possible, we have also altered the ticket concept. You now only pay for what you want to see. With a basic daypass you are given access to the entire exhibition halls as well as the two arenas until noon for less than NOK 200. If you want to see something at the arenas after noon, you can purchase add-on tickets for the afternoon and eventing shows. We sincerely hope and believe that this means that more people can come enjoy Norwegian Horse Festival at Norway Trade Fairs and enjoy something new and unique in Norwegian horse sport history!

See you at Norwegian Horse Festival in Lillestrøm February 20th – 24th 2019!

with kind regards
Eirik Berentsen
